If you are going to stock the pond with fish it is
advisable to fit a filter. The size and type of filter
will depend on the type of fish and position of the
pond. Koi or Carp will require a much larger filter
than Goldfish as they make more waste.
We will be happy to advise you on the correct filter for
your needs. We stock filters from Oase, and Hozelock.
Our filters are clearly marked on the maximum they can
handle and the type of application best suited to it. We
stock filters with built in Uv and a range of filters
with a built in pump and uv.
If you need to hide the filter we stock Pressure filters
which can be partially buried and be fitted lower than
the pond, however these filters are not recommended for
Koi.
The installation of a Uv if correctly fitted, will
guarantee clear water. We will be happy to advise you on
the correct Uv for your pond. To calculate this you need
to have the gallon age, type of fish and position of the
pond. If the pond is in direct sunlight you will need to
add 25% to the pond volume. |
